Blue Waters, Green Design

We believe that everyone can enjoy the good life-including Mother Nature. And that philosophy is what drives one of the primary goals of the project: an emphasis on "Green Design".

By incorporating a range of eco-friendly practices and sustainable building materials, we are committed to providing a stylish and comfortable community that also helps to conserve the wonderful natural resources that surround it. As a master planned community, the buildings as well as improvements to the streets, parking and public shoreline will integrate "green" living practices wherever feasible.

Project plan includes:

• Residential areas that maximize natural daylight, incorporate a range of sustainable and recyclable construction materials, and feature energy-efficient appliances and lighting fixtures where possible
• Integration of sustainable site design features into surrounding streets, parking and public shoreline
• The use of storm water control and filtering systems that will meet standards set by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources

The entire project will also be seeking to register with The Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™, a third-party certification program that encourages the global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices.
